Our Principles of Community
At the Fort Collins Toy, Game, and Puzzle Library, our mission is to serve our community by providing resources and opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to play together. We ask everyone in our shared space–including members, guests, and volunteers–to follow these community principles so that play can be safe, respectful, and welcoming for all.
Kindness
Be kind toward others. Treat others with care. Avoid harmful or derogatory language and be supportive when possible.
Respect
Respect one another, the space, and the materials. Treat shared items with care and clean up after yourself when done playing.
Safety
Be aware of your surroundings and how your actions affect others. Don’t block people’s way or create hazards. All children must have a parent or guardian attending to them.
Inclusivity
Help create a welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds and identities. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected. No hate speech or actions that promote hateful ideologies.
Please Note: Failure to follow these principles, volunteer directions, or other posted policies may result in being asked to leave the premises. We appreciate everyone working together with us to create a safe and inclusive community space!
